After a courageous battle with cancer, Victor Wierda, our beloved husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa was called home to be with his Heavenly Father. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 67 years, Grace, his children Rita (Dirk), John (Nellie), Elsie and Margaret (Bob). He also leaves his grandchildren Derek (Michelle), Michelle, Steven (Tammy), Jacob (Sabrina), Noreen, Roger (Paloma), Jeremy and John as well as many great grandchildren. Services will be held at Covenant Christian Reformed Church (653 Knowles Avenue) at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to CancerCare Manitoba. The family would like to thank the staff of the WRHA Palliative Care program and Riverview Hospital who took great care of Victor.
