

After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, sister, aunt and Oma, who took the next step on her journey on July 20th at the age of 57.
Violet is survived by her loving husband Stefan, son Charz (Michelle), daughter Stefanie (Chris) and her 6 grandchildren who she absolutely adored; Alexander, Isabella, Milo, Oliver, Max and Finley and her forever loyal protector Simon; brothers and sisters Oliver (Rita), Carolyn, Tim (Shauna), Darcy (Gilbert), Kim, Joel (Nina), George, Lori (Randy), Bill, Jami (Neil), Krissie (Jeremy), Jimmy, Step mother Carol (Frank); sister in-laws Candy, Rita, Patsy; brother in-law Jerome (Allison); sister in-laws Monika (Heinrich), Melanie (Bruce) brother in-law Wolfgang (Stephanie), sister-out-laws Cheryl and Shirley, and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Violet was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Louis Loranger, Bill Henley, sister and brother in-law Cheri and Don Bullied, brothers Jim, Kevin and Ronnie, sister in-laws Signe and Carolyn.
Violet was born in Kenora, Ontario on September 24, 1964. She enjoyed traveling, and on one visit with her sister in the big town of Starbuck, she met the love of her life Stefan. She loved spending time at camp in Kenora or enjoying an afternoon drink with Stefan out at the dugout. In winter they would head south, or out to B.C.
The family would like to take this time to give a special thank you to Violet’s long time doctor of 39 years, Dr. Janet Ritchie. They would also like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Cancer Care Manitoba, Starbuck Homecare and Palliative Care Team for their gentle care and support.
A Memorial Service for Violet will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard, Winnipeg, MB.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Kenora at a later date.
