Vjeko Grgic

Peacefully, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vjeko Grgić, originally from Croatia, with his family in his thoughts, on December 11, 2025.

Vjeko is survived by and will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his niece Zrinka and her family, extended family members, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings.

Born on June 11, 1933, in Croatia, Vjeko Grgić lived a long and meaningful life. He was known by all who knew him as a kind, humble, and gentle man who treated everyone with warmth and respect. His quiet presence, modest nature, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on family, friends, and caregivers alike.

Cremation has taken place. The urn will be laid to rest in the family tomb in Sinj, Croatia at a later date.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Heritage Lodge in Winnipeg for their compassionate care, kindness, and dignity shown to Vjeko during his time there and at the time of his passing.
