Wendy Herdis Gendron

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Wendy Herdis Gendron. She passed peacefully in the hospital with her daughter by her side on July 1, 2026 at the age of 76.

Wendy will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Julie Lyn Gendron (Emma Hendrix), grandchild Ari; sister Ingrid (Robert) Sikich and niece Dionne (Mike) Reinhart and nephew Dwayne Sikich.

Wendy was predeceased by Andres (Eddy) Gudmundson and Esther Valdheidur Gudmundson.

Wendy was born in Arborg, MB on May 22, 1950 and moved to Winnipeg as a young woman where she took math courses and became a bookkeeper. She loved to laugh with friends and family, was always ready to dance in her younger days, and liked spending time with friends playing golf, cards and Mahjong. She always had a welcoming word and a smile.

Wendy loved to bake and was loved by everyone who knew her.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides in the Geriatric Rehabilitation Department of the Victoria General Hospital who advocated for her comfort and those who offered their love and support during her last days.
