William Eldon Beaver

14 September, 1943 – 27 May, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Thomson In The Park Funeral Home and Cemetery

William Eldon Beaver, known by everyone as Eldon, went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on May 27, 2025 in Winnipeg, MB.

Eldon was born in St Catharines, Ontario to Harper and Jesse Beaver on September 14th, 1943. He was the youngest of two boys, having survived both his older brother Barry and sister-in-law Marjorie.

Eldon met and married Ruth Longhurst on May 4, 1968. Eldon and Ruth had one daughter, Janet in 1975. They lived in Bracebridge, Muskoka until 1982 when they moved to Naughton, Ontario.

In March, 2024, they moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba to be near Janet, her husband Azhar, and their three children Michael, Anna and Rachel.

Eldon had various jobs over the years, but spent the majority of his life working in either sales or construction. He was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed using and collecting tools for a wide variety of building projects. He was often seen reading from his bible, or researching biblical content from the many books he treasured.

You always knew what Eldon was thinking because he was quick to share his wit, ideas, and opinions with great conviction.

A private family gathering will be held in Winnipeg, MB. Condolences may be posted in the comments below.

Donations may be made to Share Word Global which helps spread the gospel across the globe.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’” Psalm 91:1,2
