Winnifred Thompson

1920-2016

Winnie passed away at Lions Manor Personal Care Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 13, 2016 at the age of 96 years.

Winnie was the eldest of 13 children. She was predeceased by brothers Morris Richards, John Richards and Bill Richards, sisters Margaret Hewson, Nest Arnott and Ida Thornhill.

Winnie is survived by her husband Reginald Thompson, daughters Beverley Frederickson and Janis Richards, grandchildren Bronwyn Lewis (Owen), Owen Tardi and Collin Tardi, great grandchildren Spencer and Meryn Lewis. She also leaves to mourn her brother James Richards (Leona), Bob Richards, David Richards (Cathy), sisters Gwladys Koschinksky, Megan Fergusson and Enid Richards as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service for family and friends will take place on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. A private interment will take place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Winnie’s memory to a charity of your choice.
