She was born on June 27, 1931 to Rober and Nancy Hennings. She was a member of Robinhood Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Willard A Matthews; her brother, Frank Hennings; her sister, Mildred Lawson; and niece, Frankie Hinshaw. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Matthews and Timothy Matthews, and her granddaughter, Amanda Matthews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 16th from 9-10AM, followed by a service at 10AM with Pastor John Hackworth, Jr. officiating at Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Rd. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.
