Mr. Marler was born on December 13, 1940 to the late Arzie and Nina (Duggins) Marler.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Inez La Verne Doby Marler, and his brother, Dallas Marler.
Surviving Mr. Marler is his second wife, Helen Ann and her family; sons, Le Grande Marler (wife Marsha) and David Marler (wife Debbie); daughter, Tremilla Hill (husband James). Along with their children and grandchildren; brother, George Marler (wife Darlene); sister, Gaynell Hicks; sister-in-law, Sarah Marler.
Mr. Marler was Truck Driver for Kroger Grocery for 26 years before retiring in 1996.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 21st at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Vogler Funeral and Cremations, 3815 Yadkinville Road, Winston-Salem, NC, with Chaplain Drew Southern leading the services, and visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park at 3:00 PM.
The Marler family would like to express appreciation to Mountain Valley Hospice of Pilot Mountain and Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home of Dobson for their special care given to Mr. Marler.
