Our beautiful Cindy Everhart had the most incredible experience one can imagine when she was called to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2024. It is what she believed, lived for, and told others about for many years!
Cindy was born in Winston Salem, NC to Matthew Thomas and Lottie Frances Glenn on August 28, 1947. Cindy graduated from Richard J. Reynolds High School, married Sammy Everhart and moved to California where he served in the United States Marine Corp.
After returning to North Carolina, she served as CFO of Fowler Jones Construction for 42 years, then with Alan Jones Builders and, with her husband, launched and operated Dedicated Imaging and Triad Technologies for 23 years. She was a strong, professional businesswoman, yet she was encouraging and supportive to all who worked with her.
Cindy enjoyed her work and loved her friends deeply, however, the people that made her world light up were her husband, children, and grandchildren. Those who already miss her include her husband, Sammy Everhart, daughter Shantelle Pearson (Robert) of Winston Salem, NC, son Sean Everhart (Laura) of Sherrills Ford, NC, and grandchildren Duncan Everhart (fiancé Mollie) of Austin, Texas, Anna Everhart of Washington, DC, Mary Everhart of Sherrills Ford, NC, Ella Everhart of Sherrills Ford, NC, Zachary Pearson of Winston Salem, NC, and Jessica Mata (Frankie) of Hudson, NC who presented Cindy with her first great grandchild, Lupe, on February 17, 2024.
Also surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Sarah) Brown of Eclectic, AL, sister Phyllis Brown of Lexington, NC, sister-in law Pat Everhart of Winston Salem, NC, brother-in-law Wayne Everhart of Winston Salem, NC, sister-in-law MaryAnn Moore (Gene) of Lexington, NC, sister-in-law Debbie Edwards (Gary) of Staley, NC, and many nieces and nephews.
Cindy was predeceased by her father Matthew Thomas Glenn when she was 6 years old, her mother Frances Glenn, her brother Carey Brown, and brother-in-law Emmett Everhart.
Cindy was a member of Winston Salem First for 39 years and served in the deaf ministry (which she helped establish), prayer ministry, women’s ministries, missions ministry, visitation ministry and live productions. There is no better prayer partner than one who doesn’t need all the details and will not forget to pray—Cindy was that person.
Special thanks to those who served her so well during her final days: Laura Everhart, Debbie Edwards, Charlotte Holder, Sarah Brown, Ginger Coleman and Kim Wood.
We will honor Cindy on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 1:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service at WSFirst located at 7840 North Point Blvd, with the family receiving friends for a visitation and viewing beginning at 12:00pm prior to the service. The family will also receive friends for a visitation and viewing the evening before on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 6:00-8:00pm at Vogler Funeral Home at Forsyth Memorial Park located at 3815 Yadkinville Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you donate in her honor to the deaf ministry at WSFirst.
