A lifelong figure in the amusement industry, David began his career working for several traveling carnivals before becoming an independent ride owner. He played a key role in expanding ride operations across South America during the 1980s and 1990s, partnering with parks in Colombia and Mexico and working closely with Fajume rides, based in El Salvador. His travel and expertise helped bring popular attractions--like the iconic Wacky Worm Coaster, the Crazy Chopper, and others- to new audiences across the region, and he became a trusted advisor and bridge between international manufacturers and operators in the field.
Born into a large and close-knit family, David was one of ten children. He carried that strong foundation with him throughout life. He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Maria Griffith who he met while visiting Mexico. They fell in love and shared 50 (nearly reaching 51) years of marriage together, rooted in devotion, resilience, and joy.
Later in his career, David remained deeply involved in the industry, contributing meaningfully to the development of CMD LEDs alongside his son, Chad. He was a proud father and grandfather, and a man known for his generosity, grit, and quiet wisdom. He touched the lives of all who knew him and leaves behind a legacy of strength, humor, and unwavering integrity.
