

Henry Morris Crine, Jr. died on December 3, 2021. He was born on February 28, 1924 in Dothan, Alabama, the oldest of three sons born to the late Rilla Lavene Hartley and Henry Morris Crine, Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Duncan Crine; son, William Stuart (Kimberly) Crine; brothers, Harry Victor Crine and Paul Lewis Crine. Henry is survived by his daughter, Cathy Crine (Thomas) Loveless; grandsons, Thomas (Danielle) Loveless III and William (Lindsay) Loveless; granddaughter, Caitlin (Dylan) Crine; and great granddaughters, Grayson and Addison Loveless.
Henry proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII primarily in New Guinea and the Philippines. He graduated from Auburn University in 1947 with a bachelor degree in electrical engineering. After graduating, he went to work at TVA in the developing Office of Power, where he worked for 40 years rising to Chief of Management Services in Chattanooga.
Henry was a member of Civitan International for 70 years. He held many positions in Chattanooga including Club President, Treasurer and District Lt. Governor, Secretary, and Treasurer. He was most proud of his work in the Civitan Children’s Foundation as Treasurer up into his 90’s.
Henry will be remembered as a man of great character and immense loyalty. He worked for one company for 40 years, was married 58 years, remained in the same home 65 years, was a dedicated member of one civic club for 70 years, and while at TVA, remained in the same carpool 32 years. He will be missed by many.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in Henry’s honor to Civitan Children’s Foundation, 5008 Dandelion Trail, Signal Mountain, TN 37377.

Graveside services in Chattanooga will be private. Vogler Funeral & Cremations in Winston Salem, NC has the honor of assisting family with arrangements.
