John Baxter New, age 61, of King, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born in Forsyth County in 1962 to Gary New, Jr. and Mary Katherine Dunnagan. John attended UNC-Asheville and Forsyth Technical Institute. He was formerly employed at Triad Radiology and Novant Health. John enjoyed trips to the mountains and the beach, also fishing, gardening and rock n' roll music. John was a kind and loving person. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary New, Jr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 33 years, Angela Bryant New and his mother, Mary Dunnagan New. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at Vogler Funeral Home at Forsyth. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service in the funeral home.
