Patricia Benbow Fetter, 92, of Forsyth County, passed away peacefully at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on September 30, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evan Gray Benbow and Eunice Hayes Benbow and her sister, Barbara Benbow Dekeyzer.
Patty was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed years at Atlantic Beach and Homestead, FL. In recent years, Patty enjoyed knitting for friends and family and especially for children in the NICU and reading, but by far her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. She was the most gracious, loving and supportive mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin that we could be blessed with.
Patty is survived by her daughter, Sandra Botenus (Gene Stevens); two granddaughters, Fayre Christine Stevens and Kelsey Dolan (Eddie); two nieces, Bonnie King and Pati Clark; and special cousin, Steve Hayes. She is also survived by a host of great and great great nieces and nephew. Patty loved her daughter’s Frenchie dog, Otis who misses her.
A special thank you to mom’s caregiver over the past few years, Dawn Desilets, the staff of the 6th floor at Novant Palliative Care unit and the staff at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for their compassionate and loving care.
Memorial contributions can be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103 or to Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd, Winston Salem, NC 27104.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Park.
