Alwood S. Brown

Alwood S. Brown, 95 of Windermere, FL passed away on October 2, 2019. He was born in St. Paul, MN on September 7, 1924. He retired after 30 years of service from Martin Marietta Corp. He served proudly in the US Navy during WWII. He loved to travel with his wife, play golf and was a long time member of the West Orange Country Club. Alwood was preceded in passing by his beloved wife of 70 years, Betty Brown in 2017, his son, Jimmy Brown and by his grandson, Alan Brown. He is survived by his children: Scott, Janet, Judy and Glenn; his nine grandchildren and his eight great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Winter Garden. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 1 – 2 PM with funeral service to follow at 2 PM. A Private family interment will be held at a later date.
