I met Cathy my very first day at Oakridge High School as a sophomore - she was a senior. I was lost and panicked on my first day. She was the first friendly face and showed me right to my class. I didn't see her much after that, but I never forgot her kindness to me. God rest her weary soul give her peace, good health and happiness...where all good angels go.

May our memories be fond and our prayers be comforting.

Your Family needs alot of healing at this time. Christ will help you with this journey. May your faith get you all through it during this time. The angels are joyous with her presence.

It is so difficult to bear a lose of someone who was special in your life sometime in life.  I remember the times when life was good for all of us when all we had was friends.  We shared times that were then and always will be special. I wish I had stayed in touch with the people that played apart in making me who I am today.  God has taken you but you will always be an angel to all the people whom your path crossed.  Rest well and we will see you soon.

To echo othes, 50 is way to young and as we all start our "Golden" years, we all think back to those fun years at ORHS.  Cathy, you will be missed and Remembered.

There are times in you life that you have to stand back and look at everything you have, family, friends and others processions. It seems so trivial when you see people you know passing at such a young age. I did not think that the passing of Cathy Overstreet would have had such a profound impact on me, but it has. Fifty years old is way to young leave family members and friends. It seems like the second portion of your life should be starting and not ending. My heart goes out to the Overstreet Family and her son Shawn. So, just remember it only take a few seconds to say I love you, or how you doing or just a simple Hello.
