Cephas was born on May 9th, 1933 in the small town of Williston, Florida.
In his earlier years he proudly served in the Korean War as an active member of the U.S. Navy and then served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. After his time in the military he learned extensive carpentry skills and became a skilled cabinet maker. He then met and soon married the love of his life, Billie Ann Goodman. A few years later he furthered his career at Walt Disney World as the superintendent of their Mill Shop, where he retired after 25 years.
Cephas drew countless laughs with his dry sense of humor. Family and close friends have spent many days with him at Disney ‘s theme parks through the years. To all who knew him, the magic of Disney is synonymous with Cephas Goodman. Cephas was also one of the driving forces of the bus ministry and building programs and served as the Sunday School Superintendent for many years at Pine Hills Church of God. His love for God, his wife, and family was always the center of his world.
Cephas is survived by his wife of 66 years, Billie Ann Goodman and his two children Randy Goodman and Karen (Acie) Campbell, and preceded in death by his daughter Brenda Meadows all from Winter Garden, FL. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ace Campbell, Chelsea Justice, Austin Meadows, Kinley (Isaiah) Robinson, and Joey (Aliyah) Davis as well as his great-grandchildren Jayce Meadows and Acie Ray Robinson.
