Born in 1941 in Chester, PA to Dorothy and Earl Sr., Chick spent his early years in Upland, PA and later Wilmington, DE before moving to Florida after retirement.
His love of sports was something he shared with his “perfect wife” Reenie (his words) and he proposed to her at a Big 5 Championship basketball game. Sundays during football season, he could be found next to Reenie watching all the games and cheering on their Eagles.
Chick was a great salesman and was the owner of several retail stores and a member of the PA National Guard. In his early years, he loved playing basketball, tennis, and golf and took great pride is his lawn.
Chick is survived by his beloved wife, Reenie (Maureen) of 60 years, his “perfect daughter” Dana (his words) and his son-in- law, TJ (Edward Dempsey), also perfect in his own way. His grandchildren, Avery and Chase, were his pride and joy. He called them “the greatest gift he was ever given”. He let everyone who would listen know how grateful he was for his family.
He is also survived by his sister, Patricia Todd, sisters-in-law, Margaret Love and Phyllis Tighe, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Never shy with a compliment or a thank you, we will miss hearing him tell us daily how much he loved us.
