

She was born on February 5, 1940, in Martin, Kentucky, to Otto Samons and Louise Ilene (Layne). Janice lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and love for her family and community.
Janice worked as a professional housekeeper at West Orange Hospital in Winter Garden and Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, where she faithfully served for 29 years before retiring. Her strong work ethic and warm spirit left a lasting impression on those she worked with.
A devoted Pentecostal and born-again Christian, Janice shared 49 years of ministry alongside her beloved husband, Timothy. Together, they touched many lives through their faith, music, and service. Janice especially loved playing the guitar and singing with her husband, bringing joy and inspiration to those around them.
In her quiet moments, Janice found happiness in caring for her plants and expressing her creativity through drawing.
Janice is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Timothy J. Lynch; her daughter, Louisa Desforges; her brothers, Alvis Samons and Billy Ray Samons; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her legacy of faith, love, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched.
A Committal Service will be held at External Service Location, 13636 Lake Butler Blvd, Windermere, FL 34786, US, on April 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
