So many years , over 50yrs have gone by and I miss to this day,  all memories of Pastor & Northside , along with all our musicals I sang in.   I have never found a church with ministries like Northside.   I miss Pastor & Northside,  Northside now is no comparison to Pastor's church back in 70's & 80's when I was teenager & our great mission conferences! I miss the music from all his beautiful girls.  
One day, we'll all see each other again  in glory.

I went to school in Lumberton NC with Kenneth and knew him when he decided to go into the ministry.  He was well liked by his classmates.  James Tyndall Midland NC

My parents, Elmer and Ruth Strauss were missionaries in West Africa and every 4 years we would come to St Petersburg to spend our furloughs.  Northside became our church home during those years and we loved Pastor Ken and Dottie Moon.  He was such a godly man, a great preacher/teacher with a caring compassionate heart.  Three years ago my Mom and I were in Orlando and rented a car and drove to St Pete and stopped by Northside as we had such fond memories.  It was under Pastor Moon's ministry that as a teen, I saw my responsibility to share  Christ with those I encountered throughout my life and developed a heart for evangelism.  My sincere sympathy to Dottie and the sweet daughters. Your Dad left you a wonderful, godly legacy. The heavenly reunion will be great.

Dr. Moon was my pastor at Northside since early junior high days. 37 years ago, Dr. Moon officiated the marriage of Darlene and I. Great memories of teaching and tolerance - he never scolded Tim Tedder and I for our occasional shenanigans during his sermons - like sliding under the pews, pulling ourselves along the tile floor in the old sanctuary from the front row to the back row; he had to know. I can also say, it was in that setting as a 15 year old, I heard truth spoken through this dedicated servant and rededicated my life to Christ...encouraged to be an obedient, follower of Christ. So my condolences to the Moon family for their loss but look forward to a day when there will be no more tears and sorrow. Looking forward to our reunion fellowship dinner in God's kingdom.

A wonderful part of our lives was spent at Northside where we came to know and love Ken and Dottie.  We have truly lost a friend but rejoice at Ken's promotion to glory.  All the best to you, Dottie, and your lovely family.

My husband Don and I were so saddened to hear of Ken's passing. Our memories go a way back to before Ken and Dotty were married and I will always remember their wedding in Toronto. We just have so many memories and pictures. We know that even though we know Ken is with The Lord it is still a very sad time for Dotty and their four lovely daughters and the rest of the family. Don and I extend our prayers to his family for strength and peace at this time.

Ken,  Marilyn and I (Harold) were great friends.  We were his immediate neighbors and often went out to events and restaurants together.  We are truly saddened.  We look forward to joining him in Heaven.

It has been my honor to be Ken's neighbor. He was a kind sincere gentle man. I enjoyed our many conversations about my Holocaust book. We shared a love of travel & exchanged highlights from many countries. I will truly miss looking out my window &  seeing Ken set up 
the singing Christmas Tree this winter.

My sister and I are grateful to have grown up at Northside Baptist Church under Dr. Moon's leadership.  He was such a dear, godly pastor, and we have so many fond memories. I was in school with Kenneth in Lumberton and knew him well.  We had e-mailed over the years and his class will miss him.

We thank God for putting us in Dr. Moon's path as our first pastor after we became Christians. He baptized us, encouraged us, loved us and always preached amazing sermons.

I thought Dr. Moon was one of the most moving pastors that I had ever  met personally in my life.  I was and still am a member of Northside Baptist Church.  I remember the "Living Christmas Tree", "The Living Cross" and all the special music which was performed by his family.  Being baptized as a child and knowing how important it was to make that decision as an adult, it was Dr. Moon that led me to the altar. We are so thankful for the 20 plus years we worshipped and served with Pastor Moon at Northside Baptist church.  It was under his ministry we grew spiritually and became burdened for foreign missions.  We are saddened for the family's loss, but rejoice for his presence with the Lord.  We will keep Dottie and the family in our prayers.

Mr. Moon always welcomed me with open arms as if I were one of his own daughters. I will miss him so much. I know he is wearing many crowns in Heaven. I love you Melinda and I know your dad was so proud of you and your family.

We are so grateful for Pastor Ken Moon's influence in our lives.  He sat on Les'  ordination council, encouraged both of us and helped in our support raising as we left to serve in Central Africa.  He baptized our three daughters on one of our furloughs.  Throughout the years we've been blessed by his ministry, encouragement, and counsel.  What a joy to think of him seeing the Lord Jesus Face to Face and hearing His "Well Done, good and faithful servant!"

I am the daughter of coach Kim Alsop, and Pastor Moon shared the gospel to my dad during a time when my parents were separated. My father repented of his sins and placed faith in Jesus Christ that day and my parents were restored. I am so grateful that Ken Moon made himself available that day in 1966 and shared the hope found in Christ alone. We are thankful for his service to the King, and his sweet wife. As a little girl, I saw firsthand the change Christ makes in a life surrendered to Him. Pastor Moon and Dad served together in South America as well. What memories! May the Lord tenderly and lovingly hold your family and strengthen you to continue on, faithful servants of the Most High.  Sally
