

She was born in York, Nebraska at York General Hospital on December 17, 1946 to Robert “O” Minnick and Dorothy Rose Bennett. Bertie graduated from Omaha South High School (Southite) in 1965 and received a certificate in Cosmetology from Capital Beauty School in Omaha Nebraska in 1969.
She was married to SSgt Thomas Edward Prince on April 20, 1974 at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Bertie supported SSgt Prince’s military career traveling the world to places such as RAF Alconbury in England, Holloman AFB in New Mexico and Tyndall AFB in Florida.
Bertie worked as a loving wife and mother. She was a source of love and warmth to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She had a passion for cross stitching and crocheting. She also loved some excitement which was noticeable with her love of theme parks.
She is survived by her husband Thomas E Prince, her sons Geoffrey A and Robert J Prince, daughter-n-laws Kelley D Logsdon-Prince and Claudia Prince, grandchildren Aaron T Logsdon-Prince, Amanda R Prince, Austin B Prince, Natalia K Prince, Mollie A Prince, and Sophia J Prince, and great-grandchildren Divinity D Prince-Fernandez, Allan R Prince-Geraets and Sandra J Prince-Geraets, along with her sister Luella (Dot) Brunton.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Winter Garden, FL 34787 on May 21, 2026 from 10-11am. She will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens in Apopka, FL 32703 following the viewing.
