Carol Ann Carper, Born June 2, 1942, died peacefully on August 20, 2019. Carol grew up on a small farm in the town of McHenry, Illinois. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Diedrich and Vera Pitzen Diedrich. As a child, she attended St. Mary’s Catholic grade school, and later graduated from McHenry high school in 1960. Shortly there after, she married the late James Abner and they had four children.
The family relocated to Winter Haven in December of 1979. She had a very diverse work history. From working in a drill bit factory, a waitress, running a home daycare, switchboard operator and an office manager, she always provided for her family. Her hobbies included cruising, knitting, coloring, reading and most of all, baking for her family and friends.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by us all. She requests that donations are made in her honor to the American Cancer Society.
