Edwin Mitchell Gilbreath Jr.

Edwin Mitchell Gilbreath, Jr, also known as “Ed Bob” was born July 4th, 1946 in Fairfield, Alabama to the late Edwin Mitchell Gilbreath and the late Gladys Ruth Gilbreath. He departed this life peacefully, March 20, 2015 at his home.

Edwin was in the Armed Forces and served his country for six years in the Dominican Republic and Vietnam. He was a mechanic by trade and greatly enjoyed the outdoors and sports “Roll Tide!”

He was preceded in death by sibling John Jeffrey Gilbreath of Birmingham, Alabama. Left with his memories are siblings: Judy (John) Elmore and Pamela (AJ) Carpri, both of Birmingham, Alabama. Former wife, Connie (Gilbreath) Ashley of Winter Haven, FL, two daughters, Tammy Gilbreath (Stephen) Brinson of Lakeland, FL and Kendra Gilbreath of Winter Haven, FL, four grandchildren, four nieces, two nephews, one grand niece, three grand nephews, and one great grand nephew. .

A viewing will be held Wednesday March 25th, 2015 at 6pm at Ott Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 W Central Avenue, Winter Haven, FL, 33880. Memorial Service will be held Thursday March 26th 2015 at 2pm at the same venue.
