

Born May 31, 1943, in Live Oak, Florida, she married and relocated to the Lake Alfred area in 1964. Elizabeth dedicated her life to the care and keeping of her family and community. She was a devoted nurse for over 30 years to her patients and fostered a welcoming home, loving and feeding all who crossed her threshold.
She is remembered by her family, including her brother Kenneth Jenkins (Becky); children, Mark Arbuthnot, Teresa Arbuthnot Wilson (Sam), Timothy Arbuthnot, and Matthew Arbuthnot (Lisa); grandchildren, Amanda Erickson (Luke), Jacob Wilson, Reagan ‘Ellie’ Arbuthnot Lizardi, Bethany ‘Bef’ Wilson, Cecily Arbuthnot, Johnathan Wilson, and Colt Arbuthnot; and great-grandchildren, Coraline Lizardi and Finn Erickson.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel Tucker Jenkins and Robert F. Jenkins; husband of 52 years, Claude Donald Arbuthnot; and three siblings, Helen McDaniel, Robert F. Jenkins Jr., and Roger E. Jenkins.
There will be an open viewing on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:30 am, with funeral services beginning at 11 am, both at East Temple Baptist Church, 4050 Oak Dr. Winter Haven, Florida, 33881. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with a meal served at the church after.
