Gloria Dee Tomlin

Gloria Dee Tomlin, age 79, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. She was born on August 11, 1946. Gloria was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard Edward Tomlin, on December 31, 1989, and together they shared many years of devotion, faith, and family.

Gloria was a talented hairdresser, a profession through which she not only styled hair but also touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cherishing every gathering and conversation. She also had a deep interest in genealogy, taking pride in learning about and preserving her family’s history. Gloria was a faithful member of the Apostolic Church of North America in Auburndale; attending Pastor H.A. Akintunde, where she found strength, community, and spiritual fulfillment.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Tomlin; her daughters, Deanna Rae Cunningham (Ronald Eugene Cunningham Jr.) and Anna Michelle Faulkner (Brian Edward Faulkner); and her son, Roy Dan Ketchum II.

She is also survived by her sisters, Myrna Ann Whorton, Flora May Price, and Kitty Winrow; her brother, Tone Winrow; brothers-in-law Roy Alan Whorton, Richard Larry Price, Cliff Schartzer, Mike Vaughn, and Joshua Beatty; and sisters-in-law Susan Layne Winrow, Cynthia Tomlin, Cathy Schartzer, Adeline Vaughn, and Teresa Beatty. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Helen J. Beatty; and her best friend for life Sissy Blanton(JD).

Gloria leaves behind a large and loving legacy through her grandchildren:

Granddaughters Deserae Apollonia Faulk, Hillari Elizabeth Vaca, Kristin Amalia Campbell, Alyssa Lynn Ketchum, Vivian Elaine Ives, Hollyann Gillman, and Jennylynn Moore; and grandsons Robert Joseph Faulk, Miguel Angel Vaca Sr., Ronald Eugene Cunningham III, Trevor Shea Campbell, Korey Dann Ketchum, Austin Wayne Ives, Zachary Robert Hixenbaugh, Buddy Gillman, and Braylon Edward Faulkner.

She is also lovingly remembered by her great-grandchildren:

Great-granddaughters Gracie Rae Chelle Faulk, Bethanie Julia Faulk, Gabriella Elena Espinoza, Marianna Azul Vaca, Merida Amaura Vaca, Memphis Aevyn Vaca, Gianna Madonia, and Blair Gillman; and great-grandsons Miguel Angel Vaca II, Robert Joseph Faulk II, Maverick Amarillo Vaca, Turner Ketchum, Kainen Ketchum, Jackson Ketchum, Triston Levi David Faulkner, and Bryson Liam Faulkner.

Gloria is additionally survived by many nieces and nephews, including Elexus Noelle Whorton, Margaret Rose Kragh, Tabatha Price, Jessica Lusa Winrow, Amanda Malina Pegg, Samantha Brook Walker, Gary Shaffer, Anderson Taylor Kragh, Richard Larry Price II (“Bubba”), Jamey Winrow, Brook Myles Pegg, Stephen Lawrence Walker, Luke Anthony Charles Winrow, Justin Gardner, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amalia Luz Mateo Reyes Winrow and James Robert Winrow; her grandparents, Antonio Mateo-Rodriguez and Francisca Reyes De Mateo; Opal Sannie Winrow; John C. Hoefert; and brother-in-law Gary Tomlin; sister-in-law Sheila Beatty; her niece, Malina Elizabeth Bos; Keith Bos; and her nephew, Jason Whorton.

Gloria will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her faith, love for family, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
