Haines City- Luther Stuart Sauppe, age 84, of Haines City, FL died Monday, April 9, 2012 due to kidney failure. He was born May 5, 1927 in Lebanon, PA, the son of Stuart Sauppe and Laura Rupp Sauppe. Luther was a veteran of both the US Army and the US Navy. He was a WWII veteran receiving, among other medals, the Purple Heart (Germany Jan.,1945), EAME Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, the WWII Victory Medal and Occupation Medal. He was a Private with the 3rd Batalion 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment serving in the Ardennes; Rhineland; and Central Europe. He was a supervisor with Cooper Industries.

Mr. Sauppe is survived by his wife, of 62 years, Dorothy (Bieber) Sauppe, sons: Lewis Sauppe and Kenny Sauppe, daughters: Carol Kline and Susan Andybur, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Memorial Services are Friday, April 13, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Lake Henry Estates Club House,684 Dyson Road, Haines City, FL.
