Margaret Ann Sumner, 71, passed away in Auburndale, FL on August 6, 2014 due to respiratory failure. She was a lifelong resident of Waverly, FL who retired after 33 years teaching with Polk County Schools. She was also a member of Waverly Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Roger Sumner. She is survived by her children, Carla Voncille Chin (Clifton) and Michael Scott Sumner, a brother, Thomas Terrell Aleck Sr., grandchildren, Whitney Nicole Pringle, Harlie Denise Sumner, Natalie Amber Chin, Halie Ann Sumner, Alexis Danielle Chin, and Jonathan Scott Sumner, and great grandchildren, Sean Zadian Ward and Zayden Jarrod Ward.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Aug. 8th from 6 to 8 pm
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9th, at 10 am.
Both will be held at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home in Winter Haven.
