Marlis Irmgard (Koepsell) Glamann, age 71, of Lake Wales FL fought a long and hard earthly battle and ultimately her faith in the Lord gave her the peace she needed to let go to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Forsythe Hospice House in Auburndale, FL.
Marlis was born August 8, 1947 at Hustisford Hospital Hustisford, WI to Gotthold & Verona (Gloede) Koepsell, whose family residence was in rural Mayville, WI. She was baptized August 31, 1947 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mayville, WI and confirmed in Christ on May 21, 1961 at Zum Kripplein Christi Church rural Iron Ridge, WI. She graduated from Hartford Union High School, Hartford WI and Milwaukee College of Beauty Culture, Milwaukee, WI working as a Hairdresser most of her life along with assisting her husband with his work. She was united in marriage to John Vernon Glamann on June 6, 1970 at Peace Lutheran Church, Hartford, WI.
Marlis is survived by one daughter, Faith Ann Glamann and one granddaughter, Abigail Victoria Glamann along with 5 sisters: Arlene Ohland, Lorraine Hahn, Elaine Gunst (Claude) Rex, Marian (Ron) Brandt and Edna (Robert) Schultz; step-sisters Carol Dummer, Connie (Mike) Thull and step-brother Gary Dummer, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by parents Gotthold & Verona, step-father Harvey Dummer, brother-in-laws Marvin Ohland, Earl Hahn, Leland Gunst, step-brother Duane Dummer and step-sister-in-law Sharon Dummer.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Lutheran Church in Winterhaven, FL with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford, WI. Times and dates for the services will be announced soon. Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Hospice / Forsythe Hospice House Auburndale, FL, American Cancer Society, or charity of choice.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks especially to the caring and compassionate hospice staff whom treated Marlis with the utmost respect and kept her comfortable until her final breath.
