FORT MEADE - Mr. Michael E. Tankersley, age 67, died April 21, 2015, in Lake Wales. Born in Winter Haven, FL, on August 19, 1947, he was a lifelong resident of Polk County. He worked in sales of building supplies and was a member of Parkland Baptist Church. Mr. Tankersley was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Margaret Madden Tankersley; and sister Janice Lay. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Chuck & Lou, Stone Mountain, GA, Pat & Wanda, Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law Larry Lay, Auburndale, FL; 9 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews.
