things to many people but to us we called him dad. To most of you, you knew him as
Bobby. Born in Miami, Florida in the spring of 1960, April 28th to be exact, he got to
live through some of the most awesome eras. He entered his eternal rest and gained
his wings on April 23rd, 2021 in Winter Haven, Florida.
He was world renowned for his lack of patience, not holding back his opinion and a
knack for telling stories. With that said, he was genuine with a heart of gold and yet he
sugar coated nothing. His extensive vocabulary was more than highly proficient at
knowing more curse words than most people learn in a lifetime. He loved being goofy,
telling jokes and making those around him laugh.
The simplest pleasures in life brought him great joy. He loved a quiet evening with
friends and family. He also enjoyed theme parks, movies and crazy tv shows. He took
fashion cues from no one, his signature every day look was all his own.
He retired from Wal-Mart after over 20 years of service. Since retiring he has had more
time to spend with family and one of his favorite hobbies playing games and social
apps on his iPad. He did everything and went everywhere with a diet Pepsi in one
hand, a cigarette in the other and always knew the weather forecast.
Bobby will be forever missed and survived by his children, Chris Danforth and Caley
Angstadt, son in laws Zack Angstadt and Scott Winford, his brother Chuck Danforth
and sister-in-law Beth Danforth, nephews Chas Danforth, Chase Danforth, nieces
Bethany Danforth, Amber Danforth and grand-dogs Bruzer, Elphie and Fiyero.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Donald and Marjorie Danforth, his
brother John Danforth and nephew Brandon Danforth.
To all who loved him dearly and will never forget his tenacity, wit, charm, grace (when
pertinent) and undying love. We will remember he is always with us in spirit and in our
hearts.
Bobby’s visitation will be Friday, April 30th at 5pm, with his funeral service to follow at
6pm. His services will be held at:
Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home
645 W. Central Ave.
Winter Haven, FL 33880
Instead of flowers, dad would hope that you will do a random act of kindness for
someone less fortunate, help a local family or donate to a local charity.
