Santos Cruz Figueroa

Santos Cruz Figuero, 95, of Dundee, Florida, passed on October 13, 2019 in Lake Wales, Florida. Santos was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He later moved to Florida to provide a better life for his family.

Santos became a baker for many years for 2 well-known bakeries in Miami, Florida. He loved working on lawnmowers and anything mechanical as a hobby, later he turned this passion into a small business. He was always tinkering with something.

Santos extended his love for family when he and his wife became foster parents to many children over the years. One of the family's favorite memory of Santos and his wife Georgina was that of watching them cook together in the kitchen.

Santos was the son of Juan Jose and Juana Cruz Figueroa. He was preceded in death by his late wife Georgina Cruz whom he was married to for 74 years as well as his son Rafael Cruz, grandson Brandon Andre and Juana Maria Cruz. Santos is survived by his children Margarita Andre, Modesto "Ricky" Cruz and Maria "Betty" LeGaux and his grandchildren Linda Andre, Robert Andre, Rachel Durrance, Ricky Cruz, Yvette Lopez and Elena Margarita Cruz. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren Duane Andre, Anne-Marie Braun, Brent Andre, Faith Andre, Hunter Baisden, Ethan Baisden, Alexis Durrance, Corey LeGaux, Jacob LeGaux, Tanya LeGaux, Ricky Cruz Jr., Juliana Cruz, Alexandra Cruz, Raymond Lopez Jr., and Erick Lopez along with his great-great-grandchildren Ella Hope Andre, Matthew A. Stefanski, Naomi Ramirez, Jonathan Ramirez, Nikolaus Braun, Kaiden Andre, Peyton Phillips, Ellie Andre, Luke Durrance, Brody Durrance and Ryleigh Baisden.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00am which will take place at Dundee Church of Christ located at 318 E. Main St, Dundee, Florida 33838.
