Dear Inderia, Rickie and Ryeon,

It brings me much sadness to hear of Christopher's death. Please know my heart is with you and my prayers are with Christopher.

I cherish the short time I had to revel in the warmth of Christopher  playing basketball with him and Ryeon in the driveway at South Ozone Park, watching the two boy's delight in the sparklers we lit on the Fourth of July, joking around with those two sweet young kids at your kitchen table as we enjoyed Inderia's wonderful cooking. One morning we sat together at that table and Christopher was eating cereal. I poured a bowl of cereal, too. Christopher said, "You're eating cereal? You're a grown-up." I told him, "That's what you're eating. I'm as good as you are, aren't I? Even if I'm not six years old." He let out a great "HA!" in delight. I can still see him and hear him doing that. I love those boys.

Please know that nothing that is loved is ever lost and no one who has touched a heart can truly pass away, because some beauty lingers on in each memory of which they've been a part.
