Keith was born on May 27, 1947 to Ocie and Jane Carpenter in Montgomery, AL. After graduating from Boone High School, Keith served in the Navy, stationed in Iceland and later on the USS Independence. After his service, Keith earned a bachelor degree in economics and his MBA from Rollins College.
After graduation, he started Carpenter Advisory Companies, beginning his 40 year career as a financial advisor. Keith was an avid tennis player, and also loved fly fishing, being outdoors, and playing the guitar. He was a friend to everyone he encountered. Most of all, Keith was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, finding the most joy in being with his family. Keith was a gentle soul who found glory in all walks of life, and made everyone feel as though they were truly special.
Keith is survived by his wife, Jan; children Laura (Garrett) Linquist, Ginny (David) Lapp, Ethan and Drew; and four grandchildren Hudson, Maya, Clayton and James.
The funeral service to honor Keith’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 13th at 10 am at St Margaret Mary Church in Winter Park.
