Georgia grew up in New York City and went on to earn her degree from St. Johns College.
In the early 90’s she moved to Central Florida and began her 20 year career with Colonial High School where she taught Social Studies, Economics and Political Science. She especially enjoyed her AP classes. Georgia had a passion for teaching and invested ample time continuing her education to better serve her students throughout her career.
In her time away from school Georgia loved to spend time at home cooking, traveling or on beach vacations with her husband, Philip. They were blessed with 19 years of companionship, love and memories that will be forever cherished. She was also a devoted member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
Georgia is preceded in death by her mother, Chrisoula.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Philip; father, Nicholas; sister, Kathy Ioanidis (George); beloved nieces, Christina, Jenny and Melanie- who she loved like daughters, as well as numerous extended family members, friends and special feline companion, Praline.
Georgia had a beautiful heart, mind and spirit and will be greatly missed.
