Gloria Koch passed away at age 90, after living a full life of faith, family, & friends. She was born on December 1, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York. After meeting her beloved husband, George Koch, in New York city on the train in Manhattan, a courtship started that began a beautiful legacy of a family, filled with many wonderful memories that will be forever cherished. George and Gloria always marked their Christmas presents to one another with “Sunny”, which described the light they shared between one another. Her favorite color was yellow, which described the brightness of her soul. She loved the simple things in life, talks around a good cup of coffee, cooking and having a clean home, and serving many with open arms and a loving heart. On special occasions, she was known for making a delicious lasagna, manicotti, stuffed shells and sauerbraten with potato dumplings(Potato Balls). Countless times, she would try to point others to something more beautiful in this life, wherever they were at. She loved bowling with her girlfriends, whether it was winning or losing, as long as she was in the company of dear friends. She was known to enjoy many evenings while sipping a glass of wine or a white Russian with her friends (Irene, Delores and many others) and neighbors. Oh, how she loved that!
Mom will now be reunited with her beloved husband, George (Sunny), who passed away 10 years ago. She treasured her family and embraced everyone along with her contagious smile. She had an elegant personality and always made people around her laugh and feel at home.
She lived a full life blessed with 4 children, 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren, with one more Great-Grandchild on the way. She spoke of always wanting her family to stay close with God and one another.
Gloria was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.
