I was so shocked to see Jill had passed.  We were VERY OLD friends - we were in 1st grade together at Delaney Elementary.  We used to spend the nights together on weekends.  She was so cute and had the most beautiful brown eyes.
My deepest sympathy to her family.

To me, mom was an optimist and a survivor.   I learned the same by the example she set for me.  She always made me feel safe and loved.  I could always talk to mom any time about anything.  In the face of life's greatest challenges, I always had confidence that everything was going to be alright because mom said so.  She taught me how to love, to forgive and to never give up.  She taught me to play the guitar, encouraged me and believed in me.  Over the years when I've thought of her, I've often reflected on the times when I was very young, she played her guitar and sang “Hush Little Baby” to me.  The memory is always vivid and I can still close my eyes and hear her play her guitar and sing that song which is the theme of how she always made me feel (that she would fix anything for me).  She was everything to me.  This is how I remember her and always will. I know I will see her again.

What a beautiful young woman.  I never remember meeting Jill, but I too am the greatgranddaughter of James Newton McElroy.  My father was James Newton McElroy and grandfather James Merle McElroy.  I am so sorry for you loss.  Sincerely Jan M. Tanner

I am her namesake, I always loved her, she was special. While the 5 of us ate peanutbutter and jelly (I still to this day HATE peanut butter) but she had me try mayonnaise and grape jelly--- loved it! Thank you for loving me aunt Jill, I will never forget you! Love you<3. Don't get into too much trouble with mother ;) you will be missed!

When I was young my Aunt Jill was always a pleasure to visit with at family get togethers. As an adult I always enjoyed her sense of humor and kind heart. She will be dearly missed.

Aunt Jill was the best I will always remember the GOOD times.

Jill was my acquaintance for several years. She was always kind and loving towards me at the family reunions.  I wish to express my deepest sympathy to the family.  May the love you feel for Jill lessen your sorrow.

I will truly miss Jill at our GEM luncheons. We had such fun.
