JoAnn Marie Stalcup

JoAnn Marie Stalcup JoAnn Marie Stalcup, age 60, of Orlando,FL passed away June 8th, 2016. JoAnn was born in Orlando to Troy Smith and Betty Rentzel. She graduated from Boone High School, University of Central Florida, and The Florida State University College of Law. For more than a decade she has been an attorney with the Orlando branch of The Florida Bar. She married Phil T. Stalcup on August 30, 1986 and spent many happy years between their homes in Orlando and Tallahassee, Florida. She loved Tallahassee and the Noles. As an avid fan, she was an active booster and the past president of the Seminole Club of Greater Orlando. JoAnn found her joy in time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved to travel. JoAnn is survived by husband Phil Stalcup; children Katrina (Darin) Coleman of Palm Coast, Philip (Nancy) Stalcup of Boynton Beach, and Maggie (Scott) Crater of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; grandchildren Amanda, Grace, Benton, Devin, Matthew, Quinn, and Elizabeth; siblings Janie Calpin of South Carolina, Troy Smith of Altamonte Springs, Ellen Holland of Kissimmee, and Rodney Smith of Orlando; as well as nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother and father. The family would like to honor her love for reading and education. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.
