

John E. Lovejoy, Jr., 84, of Orlando, FL passed away on March 06, 2015. A native Orlandoan, he was born on December 13, 1930. He served in the Air Force being honorably discharged in February 1955. He retired after 37 years as a projectionist at The Plaza Rocking Chair Theater as well as the General Cinema Theatre at Fashion Square Mall and was a member of the International Alliance of Theatre Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artist and Allied Crafts of the United States, (IATSE) Local 631. He was also retired from the Civil Service working at the Orlando Naval Training Center for a number of years before finally retiring to enjoy his hobbies of family, golf, square dancing, woodworking, painting and general all around putzing! He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Muriel, his daughter and son-in-law, Riki and Wayne (Blaylock) of St. Hedwig, Texas and his son, Scott of Delray Beach, Florida as well as his sister, Mary Ifft of Palm Beach, Florida and two nieces and one nephew. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 3/10/2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Ivanhoe Chapel. Graveside Service with Interment will be Wednesday morning, 3/11/2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30.
