Julio Guillermo Moros

Nacido el 17 de Marzo del 1939, en San Cristobal, Venezuela, Guillermo estudió primaria en La Escuela experimental Venezuela en Caracas y Bachillerato en El Colegio Americano de Caracas. Julio Guillermo se graduó de Médico en La Universidad Central de Venezuela. Al finalizar sus estudios se mudó a los Estados Unidos para hacer la residencia en Medicina Interna en George Washington University, Washington DC, y Nefrologia en The Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia and Grasslands Hospital, NY.

Al finalizar sus estudios volvió a Maracaibo, Venezuela donde se desempeñó como profesor de fisiología en La Universidad de Zulia.

En 1992 Julio Guillermo volvió a los Estados Unidos para trabajar como Médico Internista y Nefrólogo por más de 20 años.

Julio Guillermo era tranquilo y callado, siempre tenia en su rostro una dulce sonrisa para aquellos que lo rodeaban. Un hombre sumamente inteligente que dedicó su vida a su familia, a su profesión y a sus pacientes. Guillermo tuvo un don especial con computadoras y electrónicos. También disfrutaba de la fotografía y la buena música. Cantó en varios coros y tocaba la mandolina.

Guillermo estuvo casado con su esposa Liuva Moros por 58 años. Sus hijos, Ana Moros-Hanley y Luis Guillermo Moros, sus nietos Alyssa Hanley, Arianna Hanley, Carlos Luis Moros, Isabel Cristina Moros and Ricardo Luis Moros así como su hermano Edgar Moros y muchos sobrinos, primos, amigos y compañeros lo recordarán por siempre.

Un servicio para hacerle honor a la vida de Julio Guillermo se llevará a cabo en Chapel Hill & Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, FL.

Dr. Julio Guillermo Moros, aged 85, passed away on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024.

He was born in San Cristobal, Venezuela, on March 17th, 1939. Julio

attended elementary school at the Escuela Experimental Venezuela in Caracas and high school at the Colegio Americano de Caracas. He later graduated from La Universidad Central de Venezuela with a medical degree.Julio Guillermo's professional journey was marked by significant

achievements. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University, Washington, DC, and a Nephrology fellowship at The Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, and Grasslands Hospital, New York. Returning to Maracaibo, Venezuela, he served as a Physiology professor for twenty years at La Universidad del Zulia. In 1992, he moved back to the United States, where he dedicated another twenty years as a Nephrologist and Internist.

Julio Guillermo was remembered for his kind and quiet demeanor, always greeting others warmly. He was known for his intelligence and compassion, dedicating himself to his family and his patients and treating everyone with the utmost care and respect. Julio had a special gift for computers and electronics and enjoyed fixing anything he could. He was also passionate about photography and music, often singing in choirs and playing the mandolin.

Julio Guillermo is survived by his wife of 58 years, Liuva Moros; his children, Ana Moros-Hanley and Luis Guillermo Moros; his grandchildren, Alyssa Hanley, Arianna Hanley, Carlos Luis Moros, Isabel Cristina Moros, and Ricardo Luis Moros; his brother, Edgar Moros; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Julio Guillermo's life will be held at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill on June 8, 2024 at 5pm. A reception with the family will be from 6-8pm. Instead of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Best Friends Animal Society (https://bestfriends.org), any animal shelter of choice, or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (https://givenow.lls.org.)Julio Guillermo will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory live on in the hearts of those he touched.
