Maria Rosario Packard

Maria was born in Panama City, Panama on January 16, 1946 to Jose Enrique Valdes and Elvia Castillo. Maria met her husband Charles E Packard, Sr. (Carlos) when he was in the U.S. Army stationed in Panama and they married on January 25, 1969. She had two children, Charles and Lysa.

Maria was a loving wife, mother, and mother-in-law. Her family was her pride and joy. She took special joy in helping families, especially children, who needed assistance in her community. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and laughter. She enjoyed going to movies and dancing to music. Maria loves her country Panama and was able to recently go back with the entire family to visit her siblings, Lolo and China, which was such a blessing for her and the family. She still has a remaining sibling in Highland Park, Illinois, Chela.

Maria had a great love for animals and loved her Grand-fur babies: Sadie, Roxie, Harlie, and Sophie. She always had a bowl of chicken prepared for them for every visit.

Maria is survived by her husband, Charles Edward Packard Sr., son, Charles Edward Packard Jr. (Kendra Packard), daughter, Lysa Rosario Packard (Theresa Aviles), who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
