

Ralph Mac Yacobian, age 92, beloved husband and father, passed away on September 11, 2016. A lifelong resident, he was born in Orlando, FL, at Orlando General Hospital (now ORMC) on February 21, 1924. He graduated from Orlando High School in 1942 and attended University of Florida. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp and began Officer Training in December 1942. Ralph was a World War II B24 Bomber Pilot in Italy from 1942 to 1945. He served in the 15th Air Force 450th Bomb Group and received 5 Bronze Service Stars and an Air Medal for the European, African, and Middle East Theater. Ralph graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1949. He practiced Optometry for 50 years retiring in 1999. Ralph enjoyed boating and fishing in his younger years and loved the outdoors and gardening. He had a great love for animals which he passed on to his daughter. Ralph had a beautiful garden and enjoyed grilling. He loved golf, playing for 45 years, and was a 5 handicap at his best. Ralph loved spending time with his family, enjoying family dinners, watching sports, and he dearly loved his pets. He dated his wife for 9 Years before they married in 1958. Ralph is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ethel Fay Limbaugh Yacobian, daughter, Linda Fay Yacobian, nieces, Carol Phifer, Judi Greene (Errol), Priss Streater (John), and nephew, Steve Limbaugh (Pat). He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Beatrice Yacobian, and sister, Edna Yacobian Bishop.
Visitation to be held Monday, September 19, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Baldwin Fairchild Lake Ivanhoe with services to be held on Tuesday, September 20 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery and a reception will be held afterwards.
