Richard Allen Goodwin Jr.

Richard Allen Goodwin, Jr., 90, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carole Goodwin; son and daughter-in-law Brian and Carrie Goodwin of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Connor, Parker and Kaley Goodwin of Orlando, FL; and sister Marguerite "Teena" Rose of Charlottesville, VA.

He is predeceased by his parents Richard Allen Goodwin, Sr. and Annie Goodwin; and sister Anna Harlow.

Born and raised in Charlottesville, VA. he enjoyed hunting and fishing as a youth. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He met his future wife, Carole Baum, in Lebanon, PA while on reserve duty at Fort Indiantown Gap. They were soon married and made their way to Orlando, FL.

In 1967, he became a licensed Realtor and began providing real estate services through his company Orlando Winter Park Realty. He retired in 2016.

He was able to fix anything around the house and do repair work on their cars. He loved reading about science, astronomy and other topics. He enjoyed doing activities with his three grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 12th, at the Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 7520 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32792. Reception after the funeral service.

A memorial service for Richard will be held Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 7520 ALOMA AVE, WINTER PARK, FL 32792, followed by a reception from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
