Mr. Robert Merricks

MERRICKS, ROBERT (BOB) , 59, of Orlando, FL passed away Tuesday September 28 after a prolonged illness. Bob was born in Danville, VA and moved to Orlando in 1958. Bob spent the remainder of his life in central FL. Bob was drawn to the water throughout his life where he enjoyed surfing, fishing and boating. Whenever Bob had free time he would spend it on the water. Bob worked at Lenscrafters in Orlando as the lab manager. Bob was a dedicated father, a great brother and a good friend to those close to him. Bob was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his children Kirra Shea Merricks and Robert Shawn

Merricks; sisters, Vivian Hollomon and Toni Gilbert; brother, Edwin Highsmith; niece Ashley Gilbert; nephews, James Darren Gilbert, Jonathan Gilbert and Benjamin Gilbert. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, at the Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home, 1350 W.Fairbanks Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789
