Roberto Rodriguez Perez

Roberto, known as Rubén to his immediate family, and a.k.a. Robert, Rodriguez Perez (Nicolaos Papaguchi, as he was known in the Greek neighborhood in NY), was “El Ejemplo” as a son, brother, father and friend to many. He was born in a family of 18 children to Francisca (Sica) y Victor Manuel (Toyo) from Quebrada Prieta in Canovanas, PR. He started working in the diamond business in PR and NY and transitioned to a more relational beauty industry in which he labored until retirement.

He lived in San Juan, New York City, Boston, Kentucky and Florida, and was a man of faith and dedication to his wife and family, to friends and the church. Authentic, loving, simple and complex, he lived fully every day. We are grateful for his life.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Irma, his four sons, ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Our beloved is departed but not gone from our hearts.

Roberto, conocido como Rubén en su familia inmediata, y conocido a algunos como Robert Rodríguez Pérez (Nicolaos Papaguchi en su comunidad Griega en NY), fue “El Ejemplo” como hijo, hermano, padre y amigo a muchos. Nació a una familia de 18 a Francisca (Sica) y Víctor Manuel (Toyo) de Quebrada Prieta in Canóvanas, PR. Comenzó a trabajar en la industria de diamantes en Puerto Rico y Nueva York e hizo una transición a la industria de la belleza en la cual laboró hasta su retiro.

Vivió en San Juan, Nueva York, Boston, Kentucky y Florida, y fue un hombre de fe en el Señor y dedicación a su esposa y familia, amigos y a la iglesia. Una persona auténtica, amorosa, simple y a la vez compleja, que vivió llenamente cada día. Estamos agradecidos por su vida.

Ha sobrevivido su esposa de 66 años, Irma, sus cuatro hijos, diez nietos y seis biznietos. Nuestro amado partió, pero no se ha ido de nuestros corazones.

A visitation will be held on December 11, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Holy Family Episcopal Church, located at 1010 N. Hiawassee Rd., Orlando, FL.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

A graveside service will be conducted at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Dr., Winter Park, FL, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm on the same day.
