He was born in Spencer, IA on March 4th, 1957 to the late Irven Duane “Red” Myers and Ruth Frances (Hanna) Myers.
He grew up in Spencer, graduated from Spencer High School, and called it home for more than 60 years. Tom also attended auctioneering school.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ann (Witte) Myers of Spencer, IA.
Tom worked and told great stories about working at Cleber’s Service Station in his teens, he also worked for Spencer Sale Barn, Cresent Electric, Spencer Municipal Utilities and Polaris.
He enjoyed and had a passion for making people laugh, riding, roping and breaking horses, fishing and hunting.
Tom was proceeded in death by his son Tyler Myers and brother Tim Myers.
He was survived by: his son Travis Myers of Greenwood, MO., step daughters Laura (Rupert) Stoneking of Goldenrod, FL, and Amy (Rupert) Hendrickson of Gillett Grove, IA.
His grandchildren Chase and Cate Myers, and Emily and Trey Stoneking.
His brother Todd (Carla) Myers of Sioux Falls, SD. sister Sue Brandsrud of Brookings, SD. and nephew Bryan Goettsch.
Memorial arrangements will be made at a later date and will take place in the Spencer, IA area.
