Virginia Vazac Villane, 89, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to her eternal home in heaven on Sept. 19, 2021. She was born on Feb. 3, 1932, in Cleveland, OH, and was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Gus Vazac, and her brother, Gus. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Joseph; her children: Vivian Luscuskie (Bart) of Oviedo, FL; Joseph Villane (Meri) of Colorado Springs, CO; and Tom Villane (Patty) of Geneva, FL; her grandchildren Mark Luscuskie (Suzie) of Casselberry, FL; Justin Borell (Shannon) of Tillamook, OR; great-grandson, Jack Luscuskie; and great-granddaughter, Logan Borell.
Virginia’s parents emigrated from Czechoslovakia to the United States and she was always proud of her Czech heritage. She would often talk of the other European cultures represented in her Cleveland neighborhood and how everyone got along in spite of their differences. When she was 14 years old, her parents moved the family to Orlando. Virginia enjoyed exploring local beaches and lakes with her cousin, Jean “Jeannie” Lindon (Price). After graduating from Orlando High School, Virginia met Joseph “Joe” Villane, whom she impressed with her skill at riding horses, hunting and riding motorcycles.
The couple married on Sept. 20, 1955. They spent their first year living in New Hampshire, where Virginia worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for a large dairy. After enduring a harsh winter, the sun and warmth of Orlando beckoned. While Joe worked at Martin Marietta, Virginia delighted in the activities and achievements of her three children. She imparted her love of animals to them as they took care of their assorted horses, dogs and cats. When the children were older, Virginia worked for the City of Orlando, serving at the front desk at the Iron Bridge Wastewater Plant.
Virginia knew the Lord and was a faithful member of Azalea Park Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Later in life, she became a part of Calvary Tabernacle Orlando. Her greatest joy was always her loving family and the times they shared together.
Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod/Winter Park is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research or Canine Companions for Independence.
