Alain was predeceased by his parents, Clement and Marie, his brothers Roger, George, Marcel and Louis, his infant sister Simone, and his wife Marie-Anne.
He is survived by six children: Raymond (Susan), Rita (Gerald), Marc (Geraldine), Luc (Donna), Louise, and Marie (Darrell). Alain also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Alain was born on July 5, 1933 on the family farm in Montmartre, Sask. He married Marie-Anne LeDressay on May 5, 1956. Together they lived on his parents’ farm to raise their family and eventually took over the family farm. He loved the peace and solitude of living in the country. Alain was a jack-of-all-trades, which was a great asset to the farming operation. He was a mechanic, welder, carpenter and plumber, creatively tackling any job that needed to be done or repaired. He was a great gardener as well as a wonderful cook. Alain enjoyed the outdoors, spending many hours hunting and fishing. He also loved playing board games and card games, especially cribbage, with family and friends. Alain was generous with his time and laughter possessing a witty sense of humour.
A private family interment will take place at Sacred Heart Parish cemetery in Montmartre on May 5, 2018.
