Grandma and Grandpa moved to the farm north of Lemberg during March 1947 and Grandma remained on the farm until 1992. At that time Grandma retired from farm life to town life. Grandma loved music. She learned to play the piano and accordion by ear at an early age.
Grandma with her close friends were heavily involved with the social health of the members of the Lemberg 50+ Club. Grandma was always busy planning entertainment in forms of skits, music, humour and mystery meals.
Grandma and a group of friends used to visit local hospitals and retirement facilities to entertain the residents with music that included polkas and old time waltz’s. Grandma was able to play the piano up to and including May 10 for the residents of Harrison House.
Grandma loved gardening, growing vegetables and flowers. She was still actively growing a garden until her early 90’s.
