Arlen was predeceased by his beloved fiancé Sarah Nicole Johnstone; adopted son Clyde Lonethunder; grandfather Gilbert Spencer; material grandmother Iona Deegan; father Daryle “Dusty” O’Watch; uncles: Clifton “Mingo” Spencer, Ralph “Kruise” Deegan and Floyd Cyr; and special cousin Tracey Hotomani.
Arlen is survived by his mother Denita Deegan; children: Sholanda Cappo, Kaleigh Pascal and Daylin Deegan; adopted children: Courtney Pasap, Delayna Pasap, Landon Pasap, Sierra Pasap and Karrah Pasap; aunts: Leah Deegan, Audrey Deegan and Carrie Deegan; sisters: Cherish Jean-Baptiste (nee Deegan), Kari (Lance) Deegan, Daraleigh (Garry) O’Watch, Rebecca (Elton) Eashappie and Nyela Thomson; brothers Jonathan (Taylor) Deegan and Daryle “Louie” O’Watch; special nephew Gage McNabb; and beloved grandchildren: Kyson Quewezance, Shiloh Deegan and Laylah Pasap. Arlen also left left behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends who he loved deeply.
The Wake will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carry the Kettle Community Hall on Cega’kin Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday August 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the same location. The burial will take place in the South Cemetery on Cega’kin Carry the Kettle Nakoda Nation. Following the burial, the family would like to invite everyone back to the Community Hall to share a meal with them.
