

Borden was born on the Stonehouse farm of The Graytown District. He was the third child of John, and Marjorie. Mom and Dad were married in 1961. They settled to the farm in 1962. At that time he farmed with his father, and starting shipping cream. In 1977 he had built a dairy barn, and produced fluid Milk. In 1991 they retired from Dairy Farming, and raised beef cattle, goats, and sheep. Dad loved the farm life. He cared for all sorts of animals, and always had a faithful dog by his side. Dad always took pride in a well kept farm, cattle, and equipment. An extension of his love was his family. He was a very generous and thoughtful man. He traveled north, south, east, and west, though all his ventures brought him back home where his heart was. He was predeceased by his father John, his mother Marjorie(Mills], his brother Douglas, his sister Iola, his nephew Samson, brother-in-law Bud Nelson, his mother-in-law Mary Hoedel. Borden is survived by his loving wife Gladys of 52 years, his children BRENDA (Bernie) grandchildren Nicole and Andrew, LYLE, SANDRA (Dennis), grandchildren Michael, Eric ( Amber ), great granddaughter Harley and Gavin, WAYNE (Raquel) grandchildren, Priscilla and Benjamin and RYAN, Grandchildren Rylee and Keith. His three sisters Jean, Eileen (Colin) and Margaret (Paul), brother-in-law Rueben, sister-in-law Irene. His in laws Agnes (Ray), Edna (Clarence), Mary. Stella and Lloyd. Also numerous nephews, nieces, friends, and good neighbors. At Borden’s request there will be no funeral service. He left us too soon, he will be missed. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to honor him may make a contribution to the Graytown Cemetery. Please make cheques payable to RM of Golden West. The family would like to thank The Palliative Care unit at the Pasqua Hospital, and The William Booth Hospice for the exceptional care Dad was given.
