

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brandon Faron Scott Eashappie (Wamni sa omani wica) of Carry The Kettle First Nation, a beloved son, brother, cousin and friend who left us on May 9, 2025 at the age of 32 years.
Born on November 16, 1992 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Brandon brought love and laughter into the lives of everyone who knew him. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation and without expecting anything in return. We will remember him for his quiet generosity, kindness and his selflessness. Even though he faced his own struggles, he still had the biggest heart and would show up for the people he loved, whether through a helping hand or simply being there when it mattered most. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his dad Faron Ashdohonk; brother Brayden Ashdohonk-Eashappie; uncle Jeremy Hotomani; paternal grandparents Cyril Ashdohonk and Karen Hotomani; paternal grandpas: Bernard Ashdohonk, Joel (Orton) Ashdohonk and Elroy Ashdohonk; paternal great-grandparents Violet and Jerome Ashdohonk and Marita and Clifford Hotomani; his maternal great-grandparents Georgina Eashappie and Gillespie Eashappie.
Brandon is survived by his loving mom Celinda Eashappie (Ryan); siblings: Shyra (Andrew), Tatiana (Austin), Jerome (Morgan), Joseph, Malikahi and Lexi-Marie; adopted brother Brian Runns; maternal grandparents Diane Eashappie and Floyd Whitecap; grandma Rolanda Eashappie; paternal grandmother Connie Ashdohonk; uncles: Tyler, Jessie and Seymour (Janelle); auntie moms: Paulette, Rebecca (Elton), Stenella (Greg), Colleen (Peter), Denise (Richard) and Chasity; favorite cousins: Desmond, Rayanna, Macky, Jacob and Delaney and his three special boys: Angel, Azazel and Xavier. He also leaves to mourn numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles and friends.
A private family viewing was held in his Kushie Diane’s residence (Unit 35) at 2:30 p.m. with the wake service followed in the Carry The Kettle First Nation Community Hall on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. The funeral service was held in the Community Hall on Carry The Kettle First Nation on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Clyde O’Watch officiating. The interment followed in the Carry The Kettle South Cemetery.
The pallbearers were be: Gregory (Macky) Runns Jr., Desmond Eashappie, Delaney Rope, Justin Runns, Jackson Sunshine and Brian Runns. The honorary pallbearers will be: Rayanna Eashappie, Kaylen Saulteaux, Jacob Runns, Brandon Ryder, Brent Runns, Brandt Sunshine, Andrea O’Watch, Jamie (Scottie) Spencer, Nathan Haywahe, Koby Runns, Keith Prettyshield, Ricky Spencer, Peter (PJ) Runns Jr., Cyrus Eashappie, Daryl Dustyhorn and Terrence Spencer.
The family is following our traditional protocols and are asking that no children be in attendance.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors on the M.I.C.U. floor in the Regina General Hospital for their kindness, support and compassion shown to Brandon during his stay and in his final days. We would also like to thank Jaida at the First Nations and Metis Health Services for all her help. You went beyond what anyone could ever ask, we are forever thankful and grateful to all of you.
